The Matriarch of Barely Regal Spoods.

Octavia Mae was my Phiddipus Audax Bryantae. She passed away October 20th 2023.
I’ve never had a bond with an animal companion like I did with her. She not only touched my heart, but thousands of people from all over the world.
She was my first jumping spider and ultimately cured my arachnophobia. I began to see how funny and spunky she was. With time and many hours of patience with each other, we soon realized that we aren’t as scary and bad as we thought we were. She began to trust her giant human neighbor, and I this incredible tiny eight legged kitten like jumping spider. I began to document our journey together on social media and seeing how she was adored and loved by so many people, and the big impact this little girl made, just made me want to do this spider business even more.
She taught me forms of patience, kindness, compassion and unconditional love. I’m forever grateful and blessed to have known such a sweet little girl. There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t miss her. She is preserved in a necklace hanging around my neck, gently laying on my heart.

She is a Phiddipus Regius (Regal) Peach Phase & Dragon Breath

Her babies will be up for adoption in early 2024.

This special lady is Reptar. She is my wild rescue Phiddipus Audax. She is partially blind and has issues with hunting.

We are not sure how she ended up blind but she doesn’t look to have any damage to her precious face. We found her on our fence post at the bottom looking thin, dehydrated with no web/hammock.

We know she can partially see but has issues with depth perception and her aim. She likes to watch our big screen tv though! 🥰

This wild child is Moonshine. She is spicy and quite the spaz but she makes life very entertaining. She is fast, curious and very clever.

This sweet girl just had her last molt October 2023. I can’t wait to see where our journey goes.

This little lady came to us with a severely damaged leg. We tried to help save it but ultimately after her last molt, she lost her leg.

Pandora is a gorgeous Missouri Furrow/Foltile Orb Weaver aka Garden spider. She is my shy girl. She will play dead, she is the blend master. 🥹 She is still very clumsy and often stumbles and now has become use to being held, hand fed, cuddled and helped to different areas of her larger terrarium.
